CGC Capstan

 

The CGC CAPSTAN is based in Southeast Philadelphia, PA.  The primary operating area consists of the Delaware River from Lewes Delaware north to Trenton, NJ.  It also includes the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal to a point near Chesapeake City.

In addition to this area, the ship spends a significant amount of time in the Chesapeake Bay.

The CAPSTAN has conducted patrols in the vicinity of Baltimore, Annapolis, and Salisbury, MD.  Also, the Potomac River all the way to Washington, D.C.
