Her primary duties were icebreaking, law enforcement and search and rescue. On 11-12 June 1965 she assisted fighting a fire aboard the MV Ciudad de Nieva near Baltimore. 13 February 1968 assisted fighting a fire on Pier 5 Baltimore. 4 June 1969 assisted fighting fire on MV Provence Town at Baltimore
